Alpha Stationery has both flat cards and fold-over cards for use as bid day cards. You choose your message and font. Both styles of cards are available as either two-color engraved or one-color thermography (raised printing).

Yes, we have bid cards for most sororities. Since a bid card is usually treasured, we recommend the two color engraved card–either the flat card or the folded card. You can personalize the message to your chapter.

We offer sorority napkins in more than 20 colors. Available for most major sororities you can choose your sorority crest, Greek letters, wording only or a variety of special designs. Our sorority napkins are printed (or stamped) with ink or foil.  Because our napkins are paper, they are not embroidered; they are printed.  They cost per printed paper napkin is very reasonable.  Embroidery is not used on paper napkins. Embroidery is a sewing term applicable to fabric.

We have been doing sorority recruitment party napkins for 30 years. A special metal die is needed to print napkins. Over the years we have accumulated many different napkins dies. We have sorority crests and the Greek letters available for use without extra charges. We have many party theme dies also available without extra charge. We have many cards that are suitable for preference party invitations. Some chapters use a folded card, others prefer a flat card. We have both. We will be happy to help you select the best one for your needs.

Engraving is ancient, labor intensive printing process. The design is hand-carved into a block of steel creating an engraving die. One die for each color in the design. Usually the color block is engraved first. The ink is applied to the die, the excess wiped off and the die is pressed against the paper. The gold or silver die will then be applied to the paper. Our engravings are then sent through the press a third time without ink to “bump” the engraving. This enhances the depth of the engraving. The registration must be perfect each time. An engraver must be a perfectionist. Ours is the best!

As an example, if you look closely at the Alpha Xi Delta engraved crest, you can see the various depths of detail achieved with engraving.

Thermography is a raised print that has some appearance qualities of engraving at a more affordable price. It is most frequently found on quality business letterheads. In addition to being raised it has a slight gloss to it.

Laser thermography is a new, improved thermography (raised imprint) that does not melt when used in copy machines or laser printers. The slight extra cost enables you and others to use the letterheads in any manner you wish.
